Letters FAQ

Questions before you send?

Here’s the fast version: you can draft the letter here for free, pay $10 and let us print and mail it first class, or choose Certified Mail for $19 total.

Quick answers

  • Use the builder free
  • Pay $10 only if you want mailing
  • Certified Mail available for $19 total
  • U.S. addresses only
  • One-off situations, not bulk mail

What does the $10 cover?

The $10 covers the done-for-you mailing step: printing, preparing the envelope, postage, and first-class mailing for one standard letter.

What does Certified Mail cost?

Certified Mail is available as a $9 add-on, for $19 total. The proof comes back to Forman3D, and we email you when the USPS receipt or confirmation is received. It does not guarantee the recipient will sign or respond.

Can I use the builder without paying?

Yes. The builder is free. Use it to draft and edit your letter, then download or print it yourself if you do not need us to mail it.

How soon will my letter be mailed?

After you order, we print and mail your letter promptly — usually within a few business days. You get an email confirmation when it’s on its way.

How do I know it was actually mailed?

We email you when your letter is mailed, and your confirmation includes a link to check its status. With Certified Mail you also get a USPS tracking number once it’s accepted.

Whose name is on the letter?

Yours. The letter is written from you, with your name and contact details in it. Forman3D simply prints, stamps, and mails it on your behalf.

Can I include attachments?

Not yet. Attachments are planned as a future add-on at $1 per printed page. For now, you can reference supporting documents in the body of the letter if that makes sense for your situation.

Do you handle international addresses?

We currently mail only to U.S. recipient addresses. You can be outside the U.S. and use the service if the letter is being mailed to a U.S. address.

What kinds of letters is this best for?

It’s best for real one-off situations where a physical letter gets more attention than another text or email: unpaid invoices, security deposits, neighbor issues, complaints, cancellations, and other letters that need to be on the record.

Why does a mailed letter work better sometimes?

Because it feels more serious. A clean physical letter tells the other side you took the time to put it in writing and you expect a response.

Why are there guide pages?

Some people need the timing explained before they write; others just want a faster path to the right letter. The guides explain the move, then send you straight to the matching template.

What if there’s a mistake, or you can’t mail it?

You control every word, so review your draft carefully before checkout — we print exactly what you finalize. If we can’t mail a letter you’ve paid for, we’ll let you know and refund it, less a small processing fee.

Is my information private?

We use the details you enter only to produce and mail your letter, and we don’t sell your information. See our Privacy Policy for more.

Is this legal advice?

No. Forman3D Letters gives you general information and writing help, not legal advice or representation. If your situation is unusually high-stakes, talk to a qualified attorney.
